"Stories at the crossroads of cultures and corazón."
This poem was inspired by the novel I’m currently writing. The main character is haunted by death, and this piece is intentionally meant to feel obscure and unsettling.

This piece was written while I was speculating on how literature seems to change over time. Public libraries are becoming less and less these days. Books being banned, who will read when all is gone?

This piece was written during a moment when I needed peace. I found myself returning to a childhood park — a place that holds many memories — and took a moment to reflect.

This piece was created during a time in my life after separating from my ex-partner. I began to reflect on whether what we had was real and what it all truly meant.

This piece was written as part of an assignment for my ENG 101 (English Composition I) class, where we were asked to address a challenge we overcame and how we did it. As I continued to write, I found myself becoming more passionate about the story and the emotions behind it.

This piece is a personal critique of Mexican culture and how it has shaped my family and my childhood experiences.
